October newsletter available

The special 36-page edition of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Newsletter is now available. This issue is entirely devoted to aerospace and aviation education and training in the four Gulf Coast states of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. August newsletter now available

The August issue of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Newsletter is now available. This issue has a story about the effort to expand the MRO operations at Pensacola International, and a story about the development of an aviation park just outside Naval Air Station Whiting Field near Milton. Both promise to make the Pensacola metro area a leader in the field. There is also a story about the recent Southeast Aerospace and Defense Conference in Mobile, where that city's aerospace footprint continues to grow. (Source: GCAC Newsletter, 08/14/18)

June aerospace newsletter available

The June issue of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Newsletter is now available. This issue updates the biennial Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor 2017-2018, a 100-page reference book that published last June. April aerospace newsletter available

The April issue of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Newsletter is now available. The four-page cover story is about Florida's considerable aerospace footprint, from South Florida to Central Florida, Northeast and Northwest Florida. Inside there's a story about the Airbus and Bombardier second assembly line, and how it makes Mobile unique among aerospace hubs. There's also an analysis about some of the important news items that occurred since the last newsletter in February, one involving Stennis Space Center and others involving education. February aero newsletter available

The February issue of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Newsletter is now available. The four-page cover story is about Alabama's considerable aerospace footprint, from Huntsville to Mobile and places in between. Inside there's a story about a lecture in Pensacola, Fla., that focused on concerns that intelligent systems may one day be a threat to humanity. There's also an article about an historic test stand at Stennis Space Center, Miss., that next year will test the core stage of NASA's Space Launch System, which will eventually return astronauts to deep space.
